Newsletter - October 25, 2023
I know I haven't been writing newsletters regularly of late. I suspect people appreciate that (except my mom, who I know enjoys these and gets some of our family updates from them 🤣). Football is done now, but here's some pics from the last games. Basketball season is just starting.
How about a little room makeover? I rarely remember to take a BEFORE pic. This was no exception.
I"m getting close to done with the writing of Mother of Trees. Please don't share the cover, but this WIP is where it is headed.
Here’s the deal: I need your help gearing up for a book launch. I didn’t understand the importance of a good launch with my first series, but I do now. I’d love to get you all early copies and do the right things to get reviews quickly after the official release. That's the deal--early free book in exchange for an honest review. (And I can't hold you to it). I’m trying to figure it all out--I don't understand how to print books that don't have that "Not for Resale" markup on them from Amazon. Maybe I have to print through Ingram without notifying people? If you know how to create high quality ARCs (Advanced Read Copies) before a book's release date, fill me in.
Send me a note if you’re interested in being a part of that ARC group. I really hope to make more of a splash with this release than I have before. And anyone who knows me knows that I'm not super at organization. Yes, I run a largish group at work who create really amazing chips, and I get three kids to their stuff (and mostly remember to pick them up)... but managing another big thing gets pretty sketchy. All that to say I could use help from others… even if you’re also barely holding on by the skin of your teeth. 🤣
