Newsletter - 4/26/2022
I took my youngest to the daddy-daughter dance at her school. Her older sisters are too cool to go. :( We had fun... until the monster attack in the middle of our photo shoot.
I forayed into the magical land of TikTok this week. So far, it baffles me. Any other old-timers who look at TikTok and recall Saturday morning cartoons with bowls of sugar-laden cereal? OVERSTIMULATION much? Is it just me? Fortunately, I have a guide. And sedatives.
I set a date for the release of Book 4! July 1st. It's available on pre-order through Amazon. I received final artwork for the cover, and sadly, I'm disappointed with it. I felt the same about the cover of Book 2, and I still think it's a dud and would like to redo it. I don't have a ton of time to dink with the cover, but I'll keep poking at it in hopes that I don't have to start over. (Book 2 needs a "start over" cover.) Though I've shown early pics of the cover of Book 4 in my previous newsletters, I'm going back to do a cover reveal on the social media channels, so this is what you'll see right now on amazon:
Oh, I also changed the blurb for Book 1... again. I keep reading/learning things about blurbs and trying them out. I entirely killed all sales for one week with one of the attempts. Lesson learned? My audience wants to know up front that there be magic!

Email updates- Continue to collect pieces for farmer's market. I'm grading myself partially completed on this one. I have books coming in the mail, and I've designed a banner that I haven't ordered yet.

- Insert pics for Book 4 (none of them worked out the way I envisioned, so I need to go back and make sure they "fit")
