Another weekend of dance competitions and basketball tournaments, plus the construction of a Roman Bath 3D model with my 5th grader.
β
The Roman Bath model was funβa layer of homemade oobleck at the bottom with blue food coloring swirled in. Then, a layer of clear slime, topped with resin to harden the surface. Popsicle-stick stairs, toilet paper roll columns, and lots of hot glue. We have some blue slime for the aqueduct. πππ
Now that Iβve set a release date, I started cranking away on the ancillary pieces for Book 4βs Birthday. π Scheduling a Book Binge, setting up Goodreads Giveaway, adding to Bookbubβ¦ detail of cover and back cover, wrapping up artβ¦ and Iβm still anticipating one of the beta readers telling me Iβve got something totally screwed up.

Fortunately, like a mom who smiles as she picks up the remains of a playroom after the kids have lived a recklessly imaginative day, I find some glimmer of joy in the chaos. Maybe with a glass of beer or wine at hand some nights, but we all need a low-pass filter sometimes.
Oh, it was a complete mis-use of my time, but I ordered artwork for my next series. It isnβt right yet, so youβre the only ones that will see this early view. Yeah, it's you-know-who.

Elliah, a magicless elf cursed by prophecy, holds the key to either salvation or destruction. Forced into an uneasy alliance with the...
