I don’t think I ever showed off the final wall with picture frame molding all caulked up and painted. It looks pretty good!

Three walls to go…

All three kids have started school now. My oldest, a sophomore in high school, got in JV basketball, so she’s pretty happy. Her school started a week earlier than her sisters’, who will have had only a day in school by the time this goes out. But they both came home with smiles on their faces after day one (other than being trapped at school for an extra hour and a half because of a flash flood with gobs of lightning). On top of the new schedule mayhem, my wife has gone back to work, helping out at the same school our younger two attend. Lots of anxiety and excitement bubbling around our household these days.

World-building—I have a couple of early map drawings for the AllForest to show. As I’ve said, it was inappropriately named, but anyone who’s read The Guardian League already has an idea of why it bears that moniker.

I could use some help—I’m trying to write a teen angst scene with a couple of young elves, and I need some feedback. Anyone willing to read a pre-alpha chapter to help me home in on the right amount of teen-agy cringe, let me know.
